Bamboo fiber is a heavy, high-density material with strength properties that are often compared to and sometimes exceed those of tropical hardwoods such as Bangkirai or Bongossi. Since bamboo does not contain any tannic acids, oils, or resin, there are usually no adhesion problems or chemical reactions in connection with surface sealing.

Positive material properties include:

• Very high resistance to substance-destroying fungi and insects as well as color-changing surface fungi
• Prevents most shrinkage or swelling
• No internal tension
• High resistance to frost and heat
